The Maintenance Supervisor directs the function of the maintenance department during assigned shift. This position is responsible for assuring the safe and efficient operation, utilization and maintenance of all equipment, building and grounds. The maintenance Supervisor is accountable for the safety, productivity, attendance and quality of work of all assigned electricians and mechanics.
Supervise electricians and mechanics, ensuring work is assigned in safe and efficient manner and in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Work closely with maintenance planners, purchasing, other supervisors and vendors to properly coordinate arrange for the repair and/or routine maintenance of equipment.
Review and maintain all check sheets and PM, completing necessary action items in a timely manner.
Monitor uptime and efficiencies of all production equipment in the plant, working with other maintenance and production supervisors/ managers, as well as plant engineering to drive for improvement and efficiencies.
Qualify employees to perform all necessary functions.
Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings.

Edu & Exp
A Bachelor’s degree in a business or engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
Prior maintenance supervision experience.
Experience in the heavy metal manufacturing preferred.
Experience in manufacturing in a unionized environment is a plus.
Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time
Must actively engage in safe working practices
Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment
Must be comfortable working in small spaces
Must be comfortable intense physical demands of the position
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Little to no travel is anticipated with this position
