We bring over 140 years of experience to each and every one of our partnerships. Neenah Enterprises, Inc. (NEI), is a key component provider for many of the world’s leading manufacturing companies. NEI designs and builds cast iron parts for several industries – working alongside our clients every step of the way to bring their vision to life. Because at NEI, we are more than a supplier – we are a partner.
A special area of expertise for NEI is Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI). ADI is a range of heat-treated ductile cast irons with high strength, excellent toughness, good fatigue properties, and superior wear characteristics. It’s tensile, and yield strengths are at least twice that of standard ductile iron, making ADI a cost-effective replacement for structural steels and materials used in high-wear applications. NEI offers a unique foundry solution to ADI by operating our own in-house salt-to-salt austempering line within ACP.
NEI is committed to providing more than just products to our customers. We are committed to building partnerships. Our experienced and responsive engineering staff can assist your engineers in designing a product that adapts to the constraints of the casting industry, saving time and money.

Neenah Enterprises operates multiple foundry facilities across the United States, each with its own unique capabilities and areas of expertise. Together, we are able to provide one of the most diverse portfolios of Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI), ductile and gray iron casting processes and services in the industrial sector today.
Neenah Foundry — Neenah, Wisconsin
NEI’s largest facility and Corporate Office is located in Neenah, Wisconsin. NEI’s Neenah facility has the capacity to mold gray iron and ductile iron both vertically and horizontally as well as produce a wide range of castings from 2 to 2,000 lbs. With Neenah’s state-of-the-art KW Line, NEI is prepared to tackle the biggest projects well into the future.
- Mold Lines: 4
- Operations: Horizontal and vertical molding of gray iron and ductile iron
- Castings: Large gray and ductile iron castings up to 2,000 lbs.
Advanced Cast Products — Meadville, Pennsylvania
Advanced Cast Products (ACP) is a ductile iron foundry with a programmed ADI heat treating line that allows us to boast the only salt-to-salt austempering line in the North American foundry market. ACP can complete the entire production process in-house, including casting, machining, austempering, protective coating, and assembling.
- Mold Lines: 2
- Operations: Vertical and horizontal molding of ductile and austempered ductile iron
- Castings: Specialize in ductile iron and ADI from 1 lb. up to 60 lbs.
Neenah Enterprises provides machining and assembly capabilities, allowing NEI to deliver finished, ready-to-install parts and components to our customers. Our machining capabilities include turning, milling, drilling, tapping, assembly, fitting and more.
Advanced Cast Products — Meadville, PA
- Machines: 15
- Operations: CNC vertical & horizontal milling and CNC horizontal turning centers.
- Capabilities: 36”x36”x36” working envelope for machining centers; 12” diameter by 24” length in the turning centers.
Neenah Enterprises’ foundries produce industrial parts and components in a variety of materials to meet any design specifications. Below is a brief rundown of the materials we work in and what differentiates them from one another. NEI sets the standard in excellence and quality.
Gray Iron (up to 2,000 lbs.)
Gray iron is the most commonly used cast iron in the world today. Gray iron has small amounts of carbon and silicon present in the metal, with the remainder being iron. Gray iron’s compressive strength is comparable to low and medium carbon steel.
Ductile Iron (up to 2,000 lbs.)
Ductile iron adds alloying elements to the iron to provide added strength and integrity.
Austempered Ductile Iron
Austempered Ductile Iron (ADI) is ductile cast iron, heat-treated using a tightly controlled process that produces a unique microstructure. ADI is available in six ASTM standard grades, covering a wide range of strength and hardness characteristics.
NEI is more than a supplier; we are an integral partner who understands the demands of managing multiple supplier tiers in preparation for a successful product launch. Utilizing our established APQP and Tier 1 Management tools and processes, we take the hassle out of managing multiple layers of suppliers and ensure high-quality products and on-time delivery through product development and production cycles. Whether your product needs include castings or machining, our experienced and highly responsive development, launch and Tier 1 Management teams ensure that you will receive the highest quality products and services in your respective markets.
